We have displayed a variety of the different types of Oyster Seed Larvae grow out processes we use here at Bay B Blue. We will now display the process of seed growth. The purchased Oyster Larvae is acquired in a range of size from 1mm to 1/4”. Depending upon market availability. For aquaculture Bay B Blue always uses Triploid seed of a strong genre designed to thrive in moderate salinity brackish waters.
All seed is purchased from local oyster seed producers and are transported in a cooler and set directly into our upwelling systems after the seeds are weighed and quantified to track and record growth.
